The Advocacy Council for Human Rights

How We Can Help

If your civil rights are under attack because of your sexuality or sexual orientation, the ACHR can help.

The ACHR actively compiles acts of discrimination and hate against members of the GLBT community in our area.

If you have been discriminated against, please contact the ACHR and we’ll give you advice
on how to file complaints with the proper city officials and civil rights organizations.

If you don’t want to file a complaint, but need to talk about the incident, we are available
to discuss your situation with you. If we still can’t help, we’ll refer you to agencies that can assist you further.

Do not feel that you must suffer in silence – there is help available through the ACHR. Our
Links page has many addresses and phone numbers for helpful organizations
from the local to the national level.

ACHR Mission Statement

"We pledge ourselves to the awakening of compassion and understanding between all peoples. We strive to end discrimination and to foster mutual respect regardless of sexual orientation, creed, race, gender, or physical ability."
